YOU KNOW ME by Robbie Williams

Description

This was a hugely absorbing project for me, in summer 2010. The early stages of work had to be conducted in secret, kept even from my immediate colleagues, as the groundwork was done for the public announcement by ourselves and Robbie’s management and label. There was some controversy, as the book was sold exclusively to one UK retailer, and high expectation surrounding his return to Take That and the release of his own new album. A six figure print run was required under strict embargo conditions, with a high value deluxe edition in a larger format manufactured immediately thereafter. The piecemeal assembly of the content, based around Robbie’s availability and the need for management and author approval, made for a tricky process where a cool head and good project management skills were a necessity.

You Know Me is written by Robbie and Chris Heath and takes a celebratory trip down memory lane as Robbie opens up his personal photo collection from the past 20 years. The book is chaptered into major milestones in his career and each photo is accompanied by behind-the-scenes insight from Robbie, and of course a generous sprinkling of hilarious anecdotes too.
